Letter: Edwards’ health care plan impresses me
Op-Ed · October 10, 2007

John Edwards’ health care plan continues to impress me. His plan bans pre-existing conditions, has complete mental health parity and covers everyone.

John Edwards has said exactly how he is going to pay for it as well, by rolling back the Bush tax cuts on folks who make over $200,000 a year. I’m excited that the Democrats want universal health care, but John, who has never taken money from pharmaceutical companies or their lobbyists, will stand toe-to-toe with these companies and has pledged, as president, to take insurance away from Congress and himself until every American is covered by quality health insurance.

I am convinced Edwards will deliver a healthcare plan that covers all Americans because he has been fighting the insurance companies his entire life and he has beat them every time.
