One driver received treatment from minor injuries after a crash about 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, according to West Branch Police.

Chief Mike Horihan said Leanna Vincent, 39, of West Branch, was driving a 2017 Ford Explorer with two child passengers west on Fawcett Drive/300th Street and stopped at Baker Avenue to turn right.

A second vehicle, a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by Andrew Black, 17, of West Branch, came up behind Vincent’s vehicle but did not stop in time.

Black’s passenger-side front struck Vincent’s driver’s side rear.

Black’s windshield “was partially covered with frost,” according to Horihan.

Vincent was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and released.

The two children “were in car seats and were not injured,” Horihan said in a statement.

Black was not injured; he was cited on a charge of failure to maintain control.
