Marshall-Lodge wins Republican scholarship

Tanner Marshall-Lodge received the Cedar County Republican Central Committee scholarship drawn at the 2015 Cedar County Fair.
Taylor is majoring in animal ecology and wildlife care and interpretation at Kirkwood Community College.
“We wish Taylor all the best!” read a press release from the Republican committee.
While Marshall-Lodge was selected a year ago, the Republicans waited for her to finish her fall semester to present the check and announce her as the winner.
All future and current Cedar County college students — not necessarily Republicans — are encouraged to stop by the party’s booth in the Mathews Building at the Cedar County Fair and enter a drawing for this year’s scholarship.
