Truck gets stuck at former Werner lot by Gregory R. Norfleet · News · July 05, 2013
With West Branch Police directing traffic, a Holiday Towing truck dragged the back end of a semi-tractor trailer out of the ditch on Baker Avenue, just south of Interstate 80 across from Kum & Go. The truck driver had attempted to turn right out of the gravel parking lot and the trailer's right back tires dropped off the driveway and into the ditch about 7:15 a.m. June 27.
Traffic was down to one lane for about an hour.
The gravel parking lot once was used by Werner Trucking to store trailers used to haul Procter & Gamble products.
It has now been purchased and is slated to become land for a new Casey's General Store.
