James Wesley “Jim” Hunter, 52, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Dec. 10, 2012.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Visitation was held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial was in the West Branch Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com.

James Wesley was born Oct. 2, 1960, in Iowa City, the son of Kenneth and Laurale Fulwider Hunter. He attended special education in Tipton and later the CEO (Cedar County Workshop). For the last 3 ˝ years he lived at Reach for Your Potential in Iowa City.

He enjoyed spending time with his parents in the summer in Minnesota; riding on the pontoon boat and golf cart, and fishing. He also loved walks with his dad, magazines, music, coffee and diet Pepsi.

Survivors include his mother, Laurale of West Branch; two sisters: Melanie (Gary) Christopher and Denise Johnson, both of West Branch; brother Steve (Robyn) Hunter of West Branch; eight nieces and nephews: Angie (Josh) Konetzni, Erica Thomas, Lisa (John) Bestenlehner, Kristen (Peter) Gregory, Karen (Jonathan) Daughtrey, Amy (Justin) Hunter, Nick Hunter and Mikayla Hunter; and seven great-nieces and -nephews.

He will be met in Heaven by his father, Kenneth Hunter (September 2012), and great niece, Vivian Gregory.
