Show Choir picked for convention News · July 18, 2012
The Iowa Association of School Boards selected West Branch High School’s show choir to perform at its 67th Annual IASB Convention on Nov. 15. Director Chris Reed and Christopher Jive and the Uptown 45 wowed the IASB at the “Call for Talent.”
“We were very impressed with Chris’ directorial talents and the overall quality performance of your students,” IASB Convention Director Lou Ann Gvist wrote in an e-mail to the school district. “We are excited that the West Branch Show Choir will be kicking off our annual event by performing during our Opening General Session.”
A special table will be reserved at the front of the convention hall for the West Branch Board of Education and its superintendent, she said.
“This is great news and a nice honor,” Superintendent Kevin Hatfield wrote in an e-mail to school board members.
