Cedar SWCS lands I-Jobs grant

The Cedar Soil and Water Conservation District Chairperson, Clifford Bowie, has announced that the district has received an I-Jobs grant for cost share of practices in the Hoover Creek Watershed.


Cost share will be up to 75 percent of the cost of installing a project and will include such practices as waterways, grade stabilization structures, basins, and tile outlet terraces.

This watershed includes land in both Cedar and Johnson County and extends from the Oasis area through West Branch to Interstate 80.

Applications are being taken from owners/operators within this watershed in the Cedar and Johnson County NRCS offices.
