Guadalupe L. Trevizo, 84, died Saturday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday March 3, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:30 A.M. until service time at the church. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements.



Guadalupe was born August 27, 1925 in Yepora, Chihuahua Mexico the daughter of Francisco and Petronila Ibarra Lujan. She was married Alfonso Trevizo. She had lived in Mexico for many years before moving to the United States.



She is survived by three children: Israel (Sheryl) Trevizo of West Liberty, Manuel Travizo of West Liberty and Lupe (Michael) Mitchell of Knoxville, Iowa. Two sisters: Francisca Olave of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Paula Nevares of Colorado. One brother: Pedro Lujan of El Paso, Texas. Three Grandchildren: Israel Alfonso Trevizo Jr., Carla (Caleb) Shield and Manuel Trevizo Jr. One great grandson Pierre Shield also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Socorro, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
