8th boys go 1-1 against W. Liberty Sports · February 24, 2010
The West Branch Middle School eighth-grade boys basketball team won one and lost one against West Liberty in recent action.
The A team fell 34-18.
Nevin Tucker led the team with seven points, Jon Gingerich had six and Joe Tatman had five.
The team had 17 rebounds, two assists, 12 steals, a blocked shot and 15 turnovers.
“We had great hustle,” Coach Butch Pedersen said. “They did a solid job playing as a team and (the coaches) are proud.”
In the B game, the team won 22-16.
Joshua Snyder led with eight points, and Justin Roth, Cody Miller and Tyler Donovan each had four. Hunter Yordy added two.
The team had 26 rebounds, four assists, 17 steals and 10 turnovers.
“Great job!” Pedersen told the team. “The press hurt them. We are proud of you.” |
