Robert Gaylord Henderson, 70, of 3rd Street, Muscatine, formerly of West Liberty, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at Parkview Manor in Wellman after an extended illness.
Memorial services were held Saturday Sept. 1, 2007, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. A reception will be held following the service. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice.
Mr. Henderson was born Sept. 29, 1936, in West Liberty to Everett and Violet Bickford Henderson. He grew up and attended schools in West Liberty. He graduated in 1955 and was class vice president and homecoming king. He married Carolyn Jean Graham in 1963 and later divorced. He lived most of his life in Iowa and Texas where he worked as a master electrician.
Survivors include his daughter, Jacqueline Miller; her fiancé, Mark Stimmel of Kalona and granddaughter Rachel Miller; and daughter Kate (John) Bartenhagen, grandson Jake, and granddaughter April of San Jose, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lois Parker of North Liberty.
