Underground RR play in March
News · January 18, 2018

Back for a third year in 2018, Bright Star Touring Theatre will educate area third, fourth, and fifth graders about the history of the Underground Railroad.

The productions will run March 20th through 22nd at 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., at Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum.

In Heroes of the Underground Railroad, students join Harriet Tubman, Levi Coffin, Henry “Box” Brown, John Parker, and more in an empowering look at the figures behind America’s Underground Railroad. From the secret signs along routes to the abolitionist movement, this play leaves few stones unturned.

Classes are invited to attend at no cost. Due to limited seating, teachers must make reservations for their class, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For reservations, please contact Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum at 319-643-5301.
