Homecoming parade Sept. 20

West Branch High School will host its Homecoming Parade Wednesday, Sept. 20, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Line up starts at 6 p.m. on Poplar Street around the Little Rose Bowl.
Homecoming sponsor Abby Noelck met with the City Council on Monday to discuss changing the route due to construction on North First Street.
After reviewing three alternatives and hearing input from Police Chief Mike Horihan, the council approved the route outlined on the map above this article.
The 2017 Homecoming Court includes king candidates Cade Aspelmeier, Jacob Barnhart, Billy Friis, Jacob Graves and Ben Thompson. Queen candidates includes Bridget Buol, Tatum Koenig, Sophia Nopoulos, Annika Olson and Lauren Whaley.
Honorary court members are two senior foreign exchange students, Clara Kobbernagel and Jakob Reichl. More information next week.
