West Branch resident Tim Moss picked up a petition in an effort to run for the West Branch Board of Education.

There are two four-year seats opening up for the Sept. 12 election. Incumbents Mike Colbert and Mike Owen announced they do not plan to run for re-election.

Petitions are available now and are due back the West Branch Community Schools’ Central Office at 5 p.m. Aug. 3. For inclusion on the Sept. 12 ballot, each candidate must collect at least 32 valid signatures.

Adult residents who live within the West Branch Community School District borders are eligible.

Polls will run from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and voting takes place at Town Hall.
