Rosene Kay Worrell, 63, of West Branch passed away suddenly Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
A memorial visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Private family interment will be held in St. Bridget’s Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hendersonbarkerfuneralhome.com. A memorial fund has been established.
Rosene was born May 24, 1953, in Iowa City, the daughter of Norman and Shirley Gerard Polzien. She was a graduate of West Branch High School in 1971. On Dec. 14, 1974, she was united in marriage to Brad Worrell in West Branch. Rosene had been employed with the Crestview Specialty Care Center in West Branch for many years. She enjoyed sitting on her porch swing and her grandchildren were most special to her.
She is survived by her husband Brad Worrell of West Branch; children: Justin Worrell and wife Jen of West Branch, Jason Worrell and fiancé Heather Ford of Tipton, Chelsee Worrell of West Branch, and Josh Worrell and wife Stephanie of West Branch; three grandchildren: McKenna, Avery and Easton; sister Veronica Crowley and husband Jack of West Branch; brothers: Joe Gerard and significant other Roxann of Iowa City, David Gerard of Iowa City, Warren Gerard and wife Dot of Prince George, Va., Tony Gerard and wife Lynn of Nelson, Neb., and Greg Gerard and wife Kye of Prince George, Va.; sister Lisa Gerard-Mathias and husband Sam of Tipton; father-in-law Alfred Worrell of West Branch; sisters-in-law Linda and her husband Bill Mysak of Monticello and Teresa and her husband George Waters of West Branch; brother-in-law Scott and wife Cindy Worrell of West Branch; and sister-in-law Kathy Worrell of West Branch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Shirley Polzien; twin sister Roxene Gerard; and brother-in-law Mark Worrell.
