City web site back up

The City of West Branch web site, westbranchiowa.org, went down for a few hours Monday, causing some loss of content.
City Administrator Matt Muckler, responding to a question from the Times, said city staff restored the site with a backup from a few days earlier.
“The software for our web site is no longer supported and unfortunately that means we are unable to restore files more frequently,” he wrote.
The lost content was added back later in the day, he said. The city council is currently having a new web site developed, and the preliminary designs are already under way. Muckler predicts the new web site will launch June 1.
