Info meeting, community forum soon on $19.11M bond

The West Branch Board of Education will host an informational meeting 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at Main Street Sweets, and a community forum 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at West Branch High School.
According to Board President Mike Colbert, on Jan. 12 one or two school board members will show architectural drawings on a laptop, answer questions and hear concerns regarding the upcoming vote on $19.11 million.
The forum at WBHS will have the larger architectural drawings on poster boards.
The school district plans to spend $20 million to $21 million to build additions at West Branch High School and Hoover Elementary to absorb the pupils housed at West Branch Middle School, as well as other projects.
