Kathy Cash, 69, of West Branch, Iowa, and formerly of Frankford, Mo., died Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at her home in West Branch.

Kathy was born Dec. 3, 1946, the daughter of Robert and Louise Martin. She graduated from Louisiana High School in 1964 and married Frank Cash Nov. 12, 1966, at Calvary Episcopal Church in Louisiana. Frank preceded her in death on July 26, 2013. Kathy was also preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include a son, Frank Cash, and his wife, Beth, of Paloma, Ill.; a daughter, Amy Colbert, and her husband, Mike, of West Branch; two grandsons, Ben and Matt Colbert, of West Branch; a brother, Mike Martin, and his wife, Sallie, of Kirksville, Mo.; two sisters-in-law, Joan Sorrell, and her husband, J.D., and Linda Rose, all of Frankford; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

After marriage, Kathy worked at Louisiana Farm Supply and LaCrosse Lumber Company. She returned to the workforce at Louisiana Farm Supply in May 1985 and worked there until April 1988 when she began working again in the general office at LaCrosse Lumber Company. She retired from LaCrosse on July 1, 2013.

Kathy was an active member of Calvary Episcopal Church where she served as treasurer and was active in various activities at the Twin Pike YMCA. She enjoyed gardening and feeding birds, having lunch regularly with her cousins and former co-workers, helping organize Class of 1964 reunion functions and attending her grandsons’ activities. Kathy lived her entire life in Pike County, Mo., except for two months after marriage when she lived in Columbia while Frank completed his studies at the University of Missouri and the past three weeks that she lived in West Branch.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at Calvary Episcopal Church with the Rev. Pat Glenn officiating. Visitation will be after the service. The body will be cremated. Services will be under the direction of Collier Funeral Home of Louisiana, Missouri.
