Richard “Dick” Anderson, 92, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at the Crestview Care and Rehab Center in West Branch.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at the West Branch United Methodist Church. Visitation was Thursday at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Burial was in the West Branch Cemetery.

Dick was born July 27, 1923, in Iowa City, a son of Harley and Lillian Speight Anderson. He was a graduate of West Branch High School in the Class of 1941. On June 25, 1944, Dick was united in marriage to Marie Wolf at the United Methodist Church in West Branch. He was a lifelong farmer and an active member of the community.
Survivors include his wife, Marie, of West Branch; sons: Rick (Carole) Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Barry (Carolyn) Anderson of West Branch and Dean (Elaine) Anderson of Tipton; daughter Julie (David) Sinclair of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; nine grandchildren: Heath, Blake, Kalle, Duston, Kirk, Clinton, Katrina, Seth and Benton; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marilyn (Maynard) Suchomel, of Loveland, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Dorothy and Hubert.
