Twyla M. Salisbury, 70, of Higginsville, Mo., formerly of West Branch, Iowa, died Aug. 16, 2015, at the John Knox Hospice House in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
She was born June 17, 1945, in Kirksville, Mo., to Alfred and Enid (Bragg) Simmons.
Twyla was a secretary in the Anesthesia Department at the University of Iowa.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Simmons.
She is survived by: daughter Shelly Alston (Charles Owen) of Higginsville, Mo.; and two grandchildren: Logan Alston and Anderson Owen.
Graveside services were Friday, Aug. 21, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City, Iowa.
