Velma Bertha Hubler, 90, of Tipton died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, at the Crestview Care and Rehab Center in West Branch.

Funeral service was Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Visitation was Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Shawver Cemetery in Cedar Bluff. Velma was born May 12, 1924, in Fairfax, S.D., the daughter of Charles and Sophia (Reinell) Williams. She attended country schools. On Feb. 9, 1944, she was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Hubler in Tipton.

She had been employed with Louis Rich Foods for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Methodist Church, attending in Tipton and Rochester. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, quilting, crocheting, fishing and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include five children: Kenneth (Kristeen Roszell) Hubler of St. Helen’s, Ore., Gary (Betty Anderson) Hubler of Tipton, Sharon (Leo) Ford of Tipton, Allen (Patty Granger) Hubler of Tipton and Darrell Hubler of West Branch; daughter-in-law Gloria Hubler of West Branch; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Barbara Slocum of San Antonio, Texas, and Doris (Henry) Grillet of Burlington, Wash.; and three brothers: Robert (Lela) Williams of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, Donald Williams of Grandview, Wash., and Ronald (Debra) Williams of Prescott, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth on Nov. 9, 1984; two sons: Dean Hubler and Dale Hubler; two sisters: Donna Lamoureax and Betty Hubler; three brothers: Clarence, Marvin and Kenneth Williams; and a great-grandson Brendan Hubler.
