Marjorie Lee Morris, 86, died Jan. 15, 2015, at the Pioneer Park Care Center in Lone Tree, Iowa.

Services were Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch. Visitation was 1 hour prior to the service. Burial was at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Marjorie was born on July 6, 1928, in Farmington, Iowa, the daughter of Ailleen and Herbert Haffner. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1946 and attended AIB College in Des Moines, Iowa. She was employed as a secretary during her career. She was united in marriage to Victor Thompson in February 1950. She later married Edmund Morris in June 1985. Marjorie was active in her church and sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing and baking for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed music and dancing, especially square dancing.

She is survived by three daughters: Vicki (Larry) Ball of Hickory, N.C., Kerri (Larry) Sexton of Columbus Junction, Iowa, and Glenda (Mark) Cook of Nichols, Iowa; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ginny Jurgensen of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Norma Gregory of Ft. Madison, Iowa; a brother, David Haffner of Springfield, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edmund, an infant son, and grandson Myles.
