Speaking Volumes: WARM up with a book again this winter
by Nick Shimmin, WB Public Library · Op-Ed · January 22, 2015

For this Speaking Volumes, I wanted to just provide some information on upcoming programs that we have coming to the West Branch Public Library this winter.

First, the library will be having another Family Movie Night on Jan. 31st at 7 p.m.

We again can’t say what movie will be shown here, but please feel free to check with us at the library for those details (643-2633 or staff@westbranch.lib.ia.us). We’ll bring the drinks and popcorn!

The library will also be bringing back Winter Adult Reading Month (WARM) this February!

As it has in the past, it will work like a miniature reading program where we provide prizes and incentives to get you reading during the cold winter months. For full details, check at the library or online at www.wbpl.org/warm. Signup will begin this Friday (Jan. 23) at the library!

As always, join us for Storytime every Tuesday at 7 p.m. and Friday at 10 a.m. and Afterschool Programs for school-aged youth every Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Now, a few recent additions to our collection:

New Books (Adults): “The Boston Girl” by Anita Diamant; “Insatiable Appetites” by Stuart Woods; “Robert Parker’s The Bridge” by Robert Knott; “Saving Grace” by Jane Green; “Trust No One” by Jayne Ann Krentz.
