Coe honors WB grads

The following students are area natives who recently graduated from Coe College:


• Mitchell Moon of West Branch was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from Coe College on May 11, majoring in political science and environmental studies.

He was also selected as a member of Sachem for his outstanding academic performance as well as his involvement in a variety of campus activities while at Coe.

Moon, a graduate of West Branch High School, is the son of Karen Suchomel and the late Norman Moon.

• Taylor Wolf of West Branch was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from Coe College on May 11, majoring in psychology with a minor in communication studies.

Wolf graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

She was also named to the Dean's List for the spring 2014 term. Full-time students who rank in the top 10 percent of the student body are named to the Dean's List each term.

For the past spring term, students achieving a grade point average of 3.91 or higher earned this honor. In addition, Wolf was inducted into the Psi Chi national honor society for encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology. Wolf, a graduate of West Branch High School, is the daughter of Tracy Schutte.

At his first Commencement as college president, David McInally conferred Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Music and Master of Arts in Teaching degrees on more than 280 graduates.
