Donation drive wants … Legos?

West Branch Community School's FIRST Lego League and FIRST Robotics Competition teams are collecting "new and unopened" Lego sets or money to purchase them for the University of Iowa Children's Hospital.
"While large sets are fun, the best sets to donate are small sets from $10 to $40," instructor Matt Cain said. "Themed (like Batman, Star Wars, Harry Potter) or unthemed Lego sets are equally great. … Any amount helps, but if you donate $10 or more it can guarantee the purchase of at least one additional set."
The teams are collecting the sets this week, with a collection deadline of Monday, Sept. 29.
Sets may be given to any FIRST team member or brought to the middle school or high school offices. The sets will be presented Oct. 3 to the hospital.
